The Grand Duke’s Footprints.
It is said that every evening the Grand Duke walked through the palace garden with his faithful dog – a ritual of peace and contemplation. On one of these evenings, a fine mist lay over the paths, and the old trees cast long shadows.
The Grand Duke paused, letting the moment sink in. Then he stepped into the silence of the fog and disappeared, while his dog hesitated before following the familiar path back to the warmly lit palace, now masterless.
